Multi value Parameter

Hi,

In my report i have a multi valued parameter, when i view my report in the Web application with Report Viewer, The multi valued parameter is displaying in light color.Can we able to change this.

You can go to your Reporting Service\ReportManager\Style directory, this is were your "CSS" reporting service stylesheets are located. I believe the file you looking for is RSWebParts.css

Thanks for the reply.Can we able to change the width and Height of the multi valued parameter.Now it is of fixed size and displaying the horizantal and vertical scroll bars.

MSXML6 breaks viewer used with Microsoft Electronic Learning Library

Installation of SQL 2005 Express resulted in the failure of the viewer used with the Microsoft Electronic Learning Library products. The viewer runs under IE and is driven by an XML file.

This has been verified on several systems. I uninstalled only MSXML6 and the viewer worked normally.

I have no idea if the problem is with the viewer script, the XML file driving it, or MSXML6 but obviously this might be a breaking change to the product.

Can anyone shed light?

I found a workaround. If you disable the XML DOM Document 6.0 add-on in IE the viewer loads OK. Apparently MSXML6 is used by IE as the default if it is installed. This broke the MELL viewer. It would still be valuable to know why as other programs using IE as a frontend may break as well.

The MELL dev team has been made aware of the issue that XML Parser 6.0 breaks MELL. They are currently working on putting together a patch for this. As soon as the patch becomes available, we will let you know.

Before you run Mell, open up a dos window and run:

regsvr32 -u %windir%\system32\msxml6.dll

You should get an acknowledgement that the unregister was successful.

Start up your Mell training.

Go back to the DOS window and run:

regsvr32 %windir%\system32\msxml6.dll

Again, you should get an acknowledgement. Learn away. Doing it this way means you won't forget to put things back so that SQL Server 2005 is fully functional.

Is SQL 2005 express the only program dependent on msxml6.dll?|||according to MS this "bug" was done by design, the new xml parser blocks certain calls from mell because they are less secure, and ms is suppossed to have released a fix for this, but they have not done so yet...and the ppl from the xml team say the work around posted here (which has been suggested in many other places) is not recommended since it defaults your system to use the older less secure xml parser|||The fix is now located at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917583/en-us

MSSQLServerADHelper

MSSQLServerADHelper failed to start with error code
1073741724 on the initial error message box. When going
into event viewer the error code for the failed service
is 3221225572.
I have tried restarting the service and restarting the
server but it still fails, I have also tried starting the
service with the Admin account.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

MSSQL's Design View is 4 LAZY CODERS (LOSERS)

I'd just like to say to all you lazy donks out there who can't
"write" a query without the damn design viewer have made my life,
and I'm sure countless others, a perpetual annoyance! Is it so hard
to sit down and write nice and clean queries yourself? Think of how
many hours over a period of a couple months you could save your
co-workers when they have to debug your crap (yes givler/rusnak, your
shit is that bad) if you quit copying and pasting that horribly
formatted SQL code from that damn thing and actually WROTE IT YOURSELF!
I don't mind so much fixing your ill conceived design view
adventures, it's that I have to sit down and read the stuff later and
it's a jumbled concoction of pure laziness! Hell, you can't even
write nicely formatted code when you DO write it yourself you lazy
oafs. I NEVER use that damn thing and my SQL code is always
pretty-formatted and efficient, as you have been fond of noticing.
